The Collapsible Coat Hanger

Solution
This idea came when my friend complained about how frustrating it was for him to remove his clothes from the hanger without damaging the fabric. The traditional coat hanger not only hangs clothes ineffectively because its structure is not built to fit neck holes but also it damages the piece that is being hung by stretching the fabric
The solution to this problem is to develop a hanger that adjusts its shape for easier insertion.

My role for this project was to design the collapsing mechanism of the coat hanger. I also laser cut acrylic parts to assemble the prototype.
